Clinical Program Areas of Focus:

  • Newborn exams
  • Well-child care for infants and children
  • Physicals for general wellness and school required examinations
  • Immunizations
  • Care for acute illnesses, such as flu, cold or other viral infections
  • Preventative health screening including children’s safety, nutrition and exercise
  • Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses
  • Developmental assessments

Our child health experts can also work with your family on important medical and social issues, such as:

  • Behavioral issues
  • Problems at school
  • Family and parenting problems
  • Sports medicine (including concussions)
  • Eating disorders
  • Sexually transmission infection screening and treatment
  • Reproductive health care, including menstrual disorders and contraception
  • Substance use disorders (including medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder)
  • Mood and anxiety-based disorders
  • Care for transgender and gender-nonconforming youth
  • Acne and skin care
  • Young men's health care
  • Other complex medical, behavioral, and developmental problems occurring in adolescence

Special Services and Programs

Services Provided:

  • Child abuse pediatric consultations for medical center, medical community, and state agencies
  • Program management of the Multidisciplinary Pediatric Education and Evaluation Consortium (MPEEC)
  • Expert witness court testimony
  • Advocacy activities such as participation in state citizen committees
  • Mandatory residency rotation in child abuse pediatrics
