Throughout all years of fellowship, the fellows follow their own patients starting from diagnosis and continuing with follow-up care in their outpatient continuity clinic in addition to working with each attending in their respective clinic. During research time, fellows will continue to follow and care for their own patients in the clinic. Our inpatient service sees a diverse number of often complex patients. Fellows spend ample time learning to be a consultant and serving as primary provider for patients with rheumatic diseases while hospitalized. Fellows also work closely with residents and provide rheumatology education to future pediatricians and other specialists.
