Dr. Christina E. Ciaccio MD MSc is a Professor of Pediatrics and Medicine and is the Chief of Allergy/Immunology and Pediatric Pulmonology. She was raised in rural Kankakee county which sparked her research interest in understanding how nutrition and microbial exposures affect IgE sensitization. She currently directs the Center for Food Allergy Care, Education, and Translational Research (FACET) at the University of Chicago and runs a clinical translational research program in food allergy and IgE sensitization.
