o meet with Faculty Advisor o get to know one of the Residency Project Mentors	o consider general project focus and alignment with personal interests o begin literature search o identify potential Faculty Mentor(s)		Oral Slide Presentation - re: PL1 progress - 2 slide max - everyone must present - at Intern Lunch

o establish research mentors o refine research question and identify methods for answering question o start gathering data o IRB submitted for those attempting publication-quality projects Oral Slide Presentation - re: specific issues of project implementation: study design, limitations - ½ of you will go as PL2’s, ½ of you will go as PL3’s - 5 slide max - at a monthly RPIP meeting			Oral Slide Presentation - re: PL2 progress - 5 slide max - everyone must present - at PICU lecture series
